Re: ModSecurity: Access denied with code 403??

What version of xymon are you using for monitoring?

I use the same setup with Xymon 4.3.27 and don't have any of the mod security warnings you see.

Re: all mail just disappears

It somehow seems that the connection from external (in your case from ziggo) gets a timeout after 2 minutes.

I just used telnet to send a message to your server from external and that is accepted..

I just send you a mail reply.

Re: all mail just disappears

Well you can try to send a unredacted debug to us using:

Code: Select all

wget http://dl.efa-project.org/debug/send-debug-report.sh
chmod 700 send-debug-report.sh
sudo ./send-debug-report.sh
But note that most info of your system, config and logs will be send to me.

Re: all mail just disappears

Well from the outside you seem to get a timeout.

Is there a specific firewall in front of the box, for example a Cisco ASA firewall?
If so try to disable smtp inspection and see if that works.

Re: SPF problems?

Generaly there is hardly anything you can do as it is up to the senders mail admin, I try not to fix items in eFa but try to point mail admins to the SPF syntax page if their mail is marked as spam, and I instruct my users to call the sender and tell them their mails are not received because they ha...

In the mailwatch webinterface is there a whitelist entry on the black/whitelist page for 127.0.0.1 to default?

Re: New Data Protection laws

If you send creditcard information by plain unencrypted mail then there is something really wrong with your 'way of working' :naughty: and you should spend all your time on fixing your security issues there.

So no, I don't expect any modifications in eFa for this.

Re: EFA Minimum requirements?

Yup, for a small install you could get by with just 4gb but 8gb should be your starting point if you use it for a number of domains.

Re: Notice: Undefined variable:

if you delete messages manually you might cause some issues down the road. the official postfix way of clearing all messages from the deferred dir is by running: postsuper -d ALL deferred The question more is why would you want to clear the deferred queue? If you keep having lots of dictionary attac...

Re: new version (4), some ideas

Service monitoring is on the todo list service status in webinterface not so much, as you might know we use mailwatch as primary interface, but we take a look at it, might be a way to incorporate it without breaking mailwatch. replication is on the todo list (2nd server has the same config as the f...

Re: Today's Total and Quarantine empty [SOLVED]

I guess you made some manual modifications before to the file?
Might have been the case which caused the postfix update to not match a certain line in the file for example, not sure as we can't check :)

Re: How To Build Script

My bad, I enabled ipv6 on the centos mirrors page yesterday, and in Nginx you need a listen statement for both ipv4 and ipv6. forgot one :S

Should be working again.

Re: 3.0.1.5: EFA-MS-Update has stopped updating phishing sites as of Jan 15, 2017

Issue should now be fixed, had to request a new API code for some of the sources we use as the old one magically didn't work anymore :S

this caused the script to break and no files to be written, (should probably make some sort of error detection there :ugeek: )

Re: Greylisting taking 45+ mins

Some senders (Microsoft Office 365 for example) will use a different mail server the second time they send. Grey listing works in the way that it blocks the first attempt from a single IP and allows the second attempt after 5 minutes. However some senders use a different server/IP to send from thus ...

if an message with bad content is blocked, it will be blocked the next time also, so there is no need for learning as it will be blocked anyway by the virusscanner.

Re: what is greylisting?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greylisting In short words, it blocks all first mail delivery attempts from an IP, and allows the second attempt after 5 minutes. Most spammers that use botnets use a single delivery attempt, thus making it an effective way of filtering spam. but with the drawback that ...
