Re: web interface unreachable 2-3 times a day
Just to add a "me too" comment. All 4 of my EFA servers (2 incoming, 2 outgoing) experienced the same condition once overnight on the same date as the original post. I restarted httpd when I came in the office and the problem has never occurred again. We have had storms and power/network o...

Re: Recent Messages Blank
Excellent work Shawn! I just had to remember to stop MailScanner, etc before using the commands you provided. Thank you for sharing all your work, skills and knowledge. I am now up and running on 3.0.2.4

Re: Recent Messages Blank
do I run upgrade.php again or would it be best to roll back the snapshot, make the corrections, snapshot again and run the whole upgrade again? I'm sometimes rather a simpleton on these operations.

Re: Recent Messages Blank
Forgot to mention, this is pretty much a stock CentOS 6 VM from image running on ESXi 5.5, installed several versions ago and updated normally.

Re: Recent Messages Blank
I did a quick snapshot on our backup server and gathered this info: from the install routine toward the end of database table manipulation: - Add rblspamreport field to `maillog` table......................... ALREADY DONE - Add token field to `maillog` table................................. ALREADY...

Re: Recent Messages Blank
My upgrade from 3.0.2.3 to 3.0.2.4 did the same thing -- no messages shown in Recent Messages. I made a snapshot prior to the upgrade and immediately reverted thinking I had made a mistake so I can not go back and check the logs but I do remember as the mysql database upgrade screens flashed by some...

Re: Installation F-Prot Free Antivirus to scan attachements
pdwalker, it was, in fact, your line 85 (different line number in mine) that was not allowing data to show. Thank you very much for sharing your information. This is a helpful report for me.

Re: Installation F-Prot Free Antivirus to scan attachements
Thanks for the reply. Did a fresh copy of the code and placed it in /var/www/html/mailscanner/virus-stats.php with same result. Headers show but no data. This is a pretty stock EFA install (originally 3.0.0.7 upgraded in single version steps all the way to 3.0.2.2) I'll have to wait until I understa...

Re: Installation F-Prot Free Antivirus to scan attachements
Nicola, I would like to implement this report on my EFA gateways but do not get any lines on my report, only headings. I have copied your code to /var/www/html/mailscanner/virus-stats.php and changed Data to Date and Totala to Totals (US English) as well as translated some of the description using G...

Re: Notice: Undefined variable:
Thanks for your comment. This is an outgoing mail relay servicing several mail servers. Since it serves students as well as faculty and staff devices, authentication would be cumbersome. Also, the accounts sending out spam are legitimate -- they just succumbed to giving out their credentials to mess...

Re: Notice: Undefined variable:
I am experiencing this problem again on 3.0.1.8 - CentOS 6.8 fully updated. I can't identify the portion of the maillog that corresponds with the error: /etc/cron.hourly/mailwatch_relay.sh: Notice: Undefined variable: _relay in /var/www/html/mailscanner/postfix_relay.php on line 240 Notice: Undefine...

Re: Check Fisching from Phishtank
I have been using this phishtank script for a while now. There was a download which contained a "|" and the parsing part of the script inserted another "|" which made an "OR" situation and tagged everything with that rule. I inserted <sed -i -r 's/\|\|/\|/g' /etc/mail/s...

Re: reports page loading to slow
Unfortunately, it does not seem to be tied to any particular message. Once the high cpu usage recovers, I can go into any message details without problem. I'm just wondering why, periodically, the mysqld process (there are usually 2 of them) takes 95% or more of each core available. And also why thi...

Re: reports page loading to slow
US English is the primary language. If you are looking for a more specific answer, please tell me where to look or how to obtain the most helpful answer and I will be glad to provide it. If I find that going into message details is hanging, I can restart the httpd process and avoid looking at messag...

Re: reports page loading to slow
All RPM packages are up to date as of July 1, 2016. I do not believe there have been any problems with the mail processing nor have there been any crashes. When reports are run, they look accurate. The server has been rebooted. Thanks for your reply.

Re: reports page loading to slow
I'm having this same problem on one of my 3 EFA-Project mail scanners. CentOS 6.8, EFA 3.0.1.1, MySQLd 5.1.73. I'm logging in as admin and when I click on a message to view the spamassassin scoring or message contents, only the first 10-12 lines of the header appear and then it just stops displaying...

Re: Notice: Undefined variable:
All are CentOS 6.8 Are you talking about the maillog -- I'm going to assume that I know nothing other than it was working well and then after a spam outbreak cleanup, I started seeing these messages -- not consistently for a while but now very regularly. I checked the /var/log/maillog location and p...

Notice: Undefined variable:
I have 4 EFA project mail scanners currently running 3.0.1.1 -- 3 virtual, 1 physical. The physical server is an outgoing scanner and has been giving me the following notice since before the upgrade from 3.0.0.9 to 3.0.1.0 (the line number may have changed during one of the upgrades). Can anyone tel...
