Do the RBL's even work???
Do the RBL's in SpamAssassin listed in /var/lib/spamassassin/3.004001/updates_spamassassin_org/72_active.cf work?
I have had quite a few mails that have gone through and when I have looked up the IP it is listed in Barracuda.
I have signed up with Barracuda and have my IP's listed as available and ...

SpamAssassin Rules - What services need to be restarted
Hello All,
Bit of a noob question here.
But when you write a custom SA rule in /etc/mail/spamassassin/local.cf what do you need to run/restart to update the rules.
I have tried
sudo service MailScanner restart
I notice that spamd doesn't run as a service. (assuming called by MailScanner on ...

Re: "Unknown" Reason in Message Quarantine Report
This worked perfectly for me.
Restarted the MailScanner service and ran the report cron job - now all the unknowns are hidden.
It appears this is normal...believe it or not, when non-spam is included in the quarantine report.
Recommended fix. You probably don't want non-spam in your reports ...

Re: Increase Quarantine Retention
Thanks,
I overlooked the RECORD_DAYS_TO_KEEP as I had already changed QUARANTINE_DAYS_TO_KEEP

Re: Quarantine - Wrong message listing
There is an option on the console EFA menu that you can choose to quarantine all messages or just those flagged as SPAM.
Not sure on the exact menu structure right now.

Increase Quarantine Retention
Hey All,
I am wandering if there is something I have missed/overlooked.
I have increased the # of days in the mailscanner config file to 180, which has shown in mailwatch. However I am only getting 61 days of retention.
Is there a particular cron job I should be looking at?
