Re: SQLgrey DB connection error in maillog - greylisting is not working

The password did not match! But now it does. And now greylisting is working. :)

Thank you!

Re: SQLgrey DB connection error in maillog - greylisting is not working

Neat trick - I should have caught that missing backtick as well.

Looks like it works:

Re: SQLgrey DB connection error in maillog - greylisting is not working

I think I might have a typo in the mysql command line. All it does is open a blank prompt like it's waiting for more input:

I have to press ctrl-c to get back to the command prompt.

Re: SQLgrey DB connection error in maillog - greylisting is not working

Thanks for replying. Are you sure about the password being wrong? Because when I grab the password that is in the /etc/efa-config file then go into MySQL via Webmin it accepts that password and lets me in: Image_20180104133157644.png Image_20180104133314059.png I did go ahead and tried those command...

Re: Emails not showing up in Recent Messages list

So this is slightly embarrassing... my mail server apparently did not properly fallback an hour a few months ago. So the time is off by an hour. The email came in at 8:22am, not 9:22am. The recent messages tab didn't have any messages back that far. Had I checked on it earlier I would have seen it i...

[Solved - User Error] Emails not showing up in Recent Messages list

I'm having trouble tracking down some missing messages. We should have received 3 emails from bluefield.edu but so far we've only received 1 to our inbox. When I look at the SMTP logs on our mail server I can see the one message that we did receive coming in from EFA (192.168.13.2) at 9:22am: Image_...

Low scoring spam not listed on message operations

I am not able to train the spam filter on low scoring spam. As you can see from this picture here there are a number of low scoring spam: https://i.imgur.com/NyjyAwQ.png But when I go to message operations with no filters in place those low scoring messages are not listed. Re: Unable to smart host through EFA

I must have missed the notification email that you replied to this message. I need to pay closer attention.

I tried the telnet command from the console but it errors out with:

-bash: telnet: command not found

I even tried /usr/bin/telnet but with no luck.

Is it hiding somewhere else?

Unable to smart host through EFA

I use EFA in front of Mail Enable for filtering spam. I'd like to route all outgoing email through EFA so it can train itself on good email. I've got ME set to smart host to EFA but when I send email EFA returns this error: RCPT TO:<fakeaddress@marionutilities.com> 450 4.1.1 <fakeaddress@marionutili...

I'm still having trouble with this. Was wondering if anyone knows if changing it to class b is possible?

Re: Greylisting - check against a higher subnet class?

I know this is old but was wondering if it's possible to do greylisting based on a class b subnet? Having some trouble with a few places: Sep 21 14:57:30 mucefa sqlgrey: grey: new: 104.47.37(104.47.37.47), davi@meter.com -> amil@ities.com Sep 21 15:12:22 mucefa sqlgrey: grey: new: 104.47.36(104.47.3...

Enable AWL module? Auto whitelist for greylisting

I am following up on this particular topic here:

viewtopic.php?t=1315#p4746

The AWL module is mentioned but I can't find any info on it. I would love to auto whitelist addresses that we send emails to. Can someone help me get this setup?

Thanks

Hyper-v failover, eth0 is now missing

Had a hyper-v host die on me. I did a failover on another host and EFA is running but there is no eth0, just lo. I removed the network adapter and added a legacy network adapter but it has not made a difference. The other VMs that I had to failover came up just fine, but they're Windows machines. I'...

Re: Mailscanner has detected ...........

Technically I did do it via webmin by using the file manager.

But yes, there was no gui setting for that. Had to edit a .conf file.

I have poked through every screen I can find in Webmin but I can't find a way to disable this. Can you point me to the right place?

Thanks

Re: Greylisting - check against a higher subnet class?

Just made the change. Still learning a lot about the ins and outs of this. Probably will be for a long time. Been a Mailenable user for nearly 10 years now so I'm mainly used to how they do things - log files, config files, etc etc. Obviously EFA has a bit of a learning curve for me. Looking at the ...

Greylisting - check against a higher subnet class?

Instead of the sending server needing to have the exact ip address as before, is it possible to change it so that only the first 2 or 3 octets need to match? I think this would make greylisting less intrusive particularly from mail servers like gmail, or yahoo that rarely send from the same ip addre...
