Re: v4 Beta Login & User problems
I just installed using the eFa v4 Release Candidate 2 build instructions. I couldn't get logged in. It went into a loop while asking me for the "Web Admin Username" and Password. Over and over and over.

Re: EFA v4 Beta
If anyone else is wondering how to do this I think the proper steps are... 1. boot centos 7 iso 2. before the installation boots press tab 3. append "inst.ks=http://dl.efa-project.org/build/4/ksnobuild.cfg" to boot command 4. wait. wait. power on VM after it shuts down. 5. login as root / eFaPr0j3ct...

Re: Next Major release OS version
Where I'm from (visiting and working with lots of different companies) you rarely see a CentOS machine. Running around I see (in order of most common to least common) mostly Ubuntu, Debian, _other_, and finally a CentOS machine on very rare occasion. I've never even seen CentOS 7 in the real world. ...

too similar to esva
I stand by what I said here http://forum.efa-project.org/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=427#p747 I just installed efa 3.0.0.1. Its almost identical to esva. There is NO way I could had the web interface to a user and expect them to achieve user-level tasks. No form validation, confusing, etc etc. I appreciate ...

Re: Installer suggestion
Great suggestion. I just installed 3.0.0.1 and am already frustrated. Its stuck doing some freshclam stuff and I can't login. I press alt-f1 to goto another console and it starts the initial configuration process. VERY annoying. Now I have to boot into single user mode and blah blah? Seriously? I th...

EFA 2 and 3
So I'm not sure why people gave up on Baruwa. I understand installing it harder, but that's what EFA is for. Going back to to mailwatch is not desirable to me... Its just too crappy. The interface is ridden with obvious bugs, security holes, etc and there is no one maintaining. Going back to the ESV...

Re: baruwa 2.0 install
I'd be tempted to keep the baurwa 2 stuff efa specific and maybe skip the packages?
Not sure what's easiest.

Re: baruwa 2.0 install
I think our fearless leader darky83 has baruwa installed, but I'm not sure. If he does, maybe he can share his notes. Here are my notes from doing the source install using debian squeeze. http://pastebin.com/raZNQVS0 They are nasty, but they might be useful to someone. At the end, I was able to open...

Re: baruwa 2.0 install
After hacking around a bit more I found out a few more things. 1. you can make a debian pacakge out of the baruwa-2.0.tar.bz2 no problem with dpkg-buildpacakge. It requires packages that are in debian wheezy/sid or possibly also or instead from baruwa enterprise. not sure. 2. The baruwa 2.0 web inst...

baruwa 2.0 install
Since this is related to efa-project I figured I'd post how far I got with this. I haven't seen any install instructions for baruwa 2.0 anywhere on google yet. :( Here are some debian squeeze steps. I compared the baruwa requirements to packages and got most of them nailed down: apt-get install pyth...

considering this is a new project, seems it would make sense to have it utilize the current version of baruwa, no?

incorrect apache config
This should be done the "debian" way I think. These files should be the same. The main file should be in available, and a link to that file should be in enabled. There is a command in debian a2ensite to manage these. root@mailsort:/etc/apache2# diff sites-available/baruwa sites-enabled/baruwa 12d11 ...

how are people supposed to know they received spam?
So in ESVA, it would email someone with a link to release the spam message each time a spam email was sent to them that was caught by ESVA. How does it work in EFA/Baruwa? So far from my testing and poking around, the user has no way of knowing they received spam unless they login to the web interfa...

change the IP address of your EFA box
Yea. Real simple ..but this one wasted 20 minutes :) 1. modify /etc/network/interfaces with the changed IP. 2. modify /etc/hosts with the changed IP 3. ifdown eth0; ifup eth0 4. done. If you don't do step #2 and setup your hosts file correctly, rabbitmq-server is going to hang when you start or stop...

Re: EFA Active Directory Integration?
I haven't used EFA yet, (downloading it now), but our ESVA system downloads valid email addresses using a script. Once of the scripts queries AD and parses them into something postfix understands (or whatever the ESVA mailer is, I forget). I realize this isn't a solution to the web user interface lo...

Re: Unable to parse the OVF file
I just tried to install this into our main esx environment which is 4.x. I was on a 4.0.0 server and I got this error: Line 27: Unsupported hardware family 'vmx-08'. I tried to change the line manually and it said the file was invalid. I'm thinking the ovf file is signed? Not sure. We have a dev env...
