Re: MailWatch UI tweak

The proper place to suggest that would be under "issues" as a feature request in the mailwatch project.

Re: Is it possible?

I would seriously consider making a new vm and then do a migration from the old 3.x system to the 4.x system. Centos never supported inplace upgrades between major versions and I would be very hesitant to even attempt it given how many ways it could go wrong. Maybe this post will help you through th...

Re: Failed to connect to SMTP server

Can you provide more information because it is not clear to me what your setup is For example, what is your "relay server"? Do you mean the EFA server itself? You say two services and then talk about a multifunction printer - does that mean you have 3 services/devices trying to send mail v...

The_Penguin - luckily, you can still update your vote.

Debian it will have to be, I guess.

Re: Trivial Feature: using html hover as a visual enhancement

I'm assuming you're not a spammer testing your ability to add new posts, but replying to a 6 year old thread to "tell grandma how to suck eggs" on a feature that was already implemented 6 years ago probably isn't the best way to start your journey in these forums.

Re: Negative Caching - Automated recipient verification

Interesting.

I say that because my system doesn't use address verification, and none of the cache entries are defined in my main.cf.

I wonder how those settings got into your configuration?

Anyway, it's working now and the problem is resolved.

Have a read here:

Can you check your postfix settings and see if you've configured a caching database?

Re: Not using downloaded eFa4/repomd.xml because it is older than what we have

But another gz file did not create automatically? I don't understand this question. Will this be trigger with cron job and not with ms-update-phishing ? /etc/cron.daily/mailscanner -> runs /usr/sbin/ms-cron DAILY -> which runs /usr/sbin/ms-update-phishing So yes, it will be triggered by the cron jo...

delete /etc/MailScanner/phishing.safe.sites.conf.master.gz and try again.

you do not need to backup this file.

Re: Not using downloaded eFa4/repomd.xml because it is older than what we have

Weird. I cannot see why the initial update failed. It appears to be some sort of issue with your copy of phishing.safe.sites.conf.master. Permissions problem? 0 byte file problem? I don't know. Anyway, you've resolved the problem by deleting the problematic phishing.safe.sites.conf.master file and l...

Re: Maxmind GeoIP2 license key not accepted

Now for the proper fix, assuming the changes above haven't been made, or have been undone. The new keys seem to have a format of 40 characters, numbers or letters and the underscore character edit /var/www/html/mailscanner/functions.php. Search for "case 'maxmind':". It is on line 4659 of ...

Re: Maxmind GeoIP2 license key not accepted

Thank you, that helps. Yes, there is a new key format and it can be used, but some changes need to be made. There are two ways you can do this: 1/ properly 2/ chuck that, let's just make this work. Let's get you running by going with #2 - edit /var/www/html/mailscanner/conf.php - search for 'MAXMIND...

When did you generate your license key?

I generated mine in 2020 and it's still usable today.

Also, your key looks longer than mine. Mine is 16 characters long. You're looks a lot longer.

Re: Not using downloaded eFa4/repomd.xml because it is older than what we have

Regarding the second error, the daily mailscanner chron job eventually runs /usr/sbin/ms-update-phishing. If you edit this file, there is DEBUG=0 on line 34. Change that to 1 and then run it. What do you get? Post the results here so we can have a look. This is what I got when I ran it: # /usr/sbin/...
