Thanks for that suggestion but I suspect the issue still lies elsewhere.
The retention period was set to 60 days. I have moved it down to 15, with no noticeable change to loading times. I'll give it a day or so to see if this needs to work it's way through.

I believe the root cause is that they have changed the names of some of the repoid's

I am using Proxmox (https://www.proxmox.com/en/) which is basically a virtualization frontend with lxc containers, so I suppose, then yes, this is a container (but not in the same sense as docker). I have no idea why hostname was not installed in the minimal installation
