It's a new problem in 3.0.1.8, I didn't have it before and I have three installations that have it now. In all cases, it seems to be a disk I/O problem and can't be easily resolved. You have to up the spamassassin timeout.

I'm pretty sure, if you look at an individual spam message, you'll see that it's got a SPAMASSASSIN TIMEOUT AFTER 20 TRIES.

I've noticed that 3.0.1.8 has some performance issues. I upgrade about a week ago and since then i've seen a lot of situations where SpamAssassin is timing out. Once it happens 20 times, the mail is let through, even though it's spam. I can't put my finger on what causing the timeouts but it ...

No errors and it finishes in about a second.
Maybe I should blow out the VM and recreate it. I know I can transfer the Bayes database easily with sa-learn --backup but is there an easy way to transfer the EFA config from one machine to the next? Not that I have very much, but it would be nice not ...

sa-learn is taking a horrendously long time to complete and I think it has to do with the MySQL database backend.
