Re: Backup & Restore Gone Wrong
Ok, so I was not able to get this over the line. My belief is that my backup contains a damaged database. Even when I try to restore manually step by step, I always hose the system after the restore of the database. But I did learn a great deal about mariadb / mysql in this process. In the end, I wa...

Re: Backup & Restore Gone Wrong
Yes, I had been through the eFa-Init process prior to the restore.
I was able to log in to Mailwatch via the Web, it was a clean slate.

Backup & Restore Gone Wrong
Hi Everyone, I appear to be at the limits of my ability on this one. I need to restore a backup of my efa 4.0.4 to a new instance. I have provisioned the new machine, hardware and storage all the same. I have gone for an AlmaLinux 8.7 install, whereas the old system was CentOS7. All goes well, until...

Re: Corrupt Bayes Table
I was thinking this might be the case. The backups I have will include the problem, nothing from before. Could you guide me on the commands to actually re-create the table?

Corrupt Bayes Table
After a server crash, my EFA would no longer start MariaDB. By using innodb_force_recovery=2 I have been able to start the database and mail is flowing, however, the Maria Recovery process fails on the sa_bayes.bayes_token table. [eFa] Do you wish to continue? (y/n): y Beginning recovery... Stopping...

Automatic Recipient Verification
Hi Everyone I have recently deployed a new EFAv4 server to replace my v3. I got caught with the Automatic Recipient Verification feature though, and it took me a few hours to find the issue, so we rejected a heap of email. When I looked further into it, I discovered that the only "Invalid Recip...

New Empty Database v3
Hello I have an EFAv3 server that suffered a crash due to power failure. Since then, I can longer mount the database. I have had limited success with database recovery mode, but not enough to export tables. I would like to keep all my existing configurations - accepted domains, user accounts etc. bu...

Re: Re-deliver large quantity of messages
Sorry for the delayed response. I have only just managed to get back to doing this. Other than an error on each each during the restore, everything worked perfectly. Thank you for your help. That saved me hours of manual work. The error was: PHP Notice: Undefined index: REMOTE_ADDR in /var/www/html/...

Re: Re-deliver large quantity of messages
This post has generated over 300 views, but no responses. Am I up against an impossible request here? I am getting some pressure to get these messages restored so if it is a 1 by 1 process, I would love to know so I can get started. Alternatively, any tips from people with higher EFA foo than me as ...

Re-deliver large quantity of messages
I am cleaning up an email server after ransomware encrypted the exchange database. My backup of the database 2 days old. Once it is restored, I would like to release the last 2 days messages again from efa, so that the mailbox will be complete with all its incoming items. I realise this will show th...

Recent Messages Blank
Hi Everyone Since my upgrade to 3.0.2.6 I no longer have anything showing under recent messages. This is both for admin and user accounts. I have checked the paths under /var/www/html/mailscanner/config.php // Paths define('MAILWATCH_HOME', '/var/www/html/mailscanner'); define('MS_CONFIG_DIR', '/etc...

Re: Users Cannot add to Whitelist
Sorry for the delayed response. No, the usernames are the full domain name - ie. xyz.com.au I created a test account with the username as an email and that seems to have allowed access to add to the white list. Is this expected behaviour? I previously created the usernames for domain administrators ...

Users Cannot add to Whitelist
I have a number of domains in my EFA which are managed by others. I have setup domain administrators for each of the domains. When logged in as a domain administrator, they are unable to add senders to the white list as the drop down to the right of @ symbol in the to field is blank. How can I enabl...

Removing Inline Signatures on Outbound Mail
Hi Everyone I have a domain filtered through EFA that has inline signatures enabled. The users like the signatures, however, they are complaining that when they send emails out, some of their clients are clicking the link to mark the message as spam. Is there any way to have the inline signature add...

Search for Domain across all records
Apologies if that has been asked before. I find the forum search is a bit hard to get results due to my search terms being too simple. I have a user who is complaining that they are not receiving email from a particular domain. They cannot give me a time and date to look for the messages in the qura...

Hi David I have been looking at doing a similar thing, except I also have non AD servers that my EFA filters spam for. You can try the suggestion that was given to me in this thread: https://forum.efa-project.org//viewtopic.php?f=14&t=716 It seems to indicate you can connect to multiple AD serve...

Re: AD Integration for select domains
Thanks for the reply. That is very helpful thank you. My concern is though with this section: 4) Modify your /etc/postfix/main.cf to achieve this one: smtpd_recipient_restrictions = permit_sasl_authenticated, permit_mynetworks, reject_unauth_destination, reject_non_fqdn_recipient, reject_unknown_rec...

AD Integration for select domains
Does anyone know if it is possible [and ultimately how] I can have EFA verify emails against an Active Directory server for a select number of the mail domains configured on the system? ie. abc.com > EFA > Destination Server [Postfix] xyz.com > EFA > [AD lookup] > Destination Server 1 [Exchange 2007...
