URIBL_BLOCKED

Hi All, Just to make some users aware. if you check your Reports -> Spamassassin Rule Hits. If you see that is affecting a lot of your emails (based on the count vs the total emails). For me during testing, it was 99% of emails hit this rule. This means that you are using your ISP or some public DNS...

AVG free for Linux

Hi All, I'm trying this out. Just info for you guys if you are having memory issues or speed issues. Note however doing so will not use clamd's alternative databases for phishing and other stuff. Unless you use both together. Clamd takes about 500-600Meg ram with 300+Meg resident AVG takes about 281...

Re: Pyzor bug I think

Hi Shawn,

Looks like the bug is gone.
Haven't see it pop up for the last 5 days.
The bug used to pop up about 4-10 times a day.

Regards,

Michael

Re: Pyzor bug I think

Hi Shawn, No that is for DCC if it always complaint's it cannot find server. Then you use "sudo cdcc rtt" that will will drop its cache and re-probe all the servers it can reach. Not sure what changing abrtd conf to support an pyzor which is not in a package. Wait a bit, I'll post the resu...

Successfully clean up expired old tokens. - Bug,Optimisation

Hi, Just to suggest. I'm not sure what these tokens are used for In database EFA->Tokens Or how fast they create. The clean up script cleans them of records more then 3 days. It maybe useful to do a "optimize table tokens" at the end of the operation. This is to reduce fragmentation of the...

Re: scamnailer

Hi,

Actually, you can skip the script.

Just add this line in freshclam.conf
DatabaseCustomURL http://www.mailscanner.eu/scamnailer.ndb

During freshclam update it will also check for this file, test and then trigger clamd to re-read the ndb(s).

Enhancement

Hi All,

Just an heads up. I noticed that re2c is not installed.
This allows for compilation of spamassassin rules into native code.

Once, installed you can run it once. To compile existing rules and then restart MailScanner.

Mysql optimisation.

Hi All, This is not a bug but a suggestion. Its not exactly a how to either :) I noticed that mysql has caching turned on, but is query_cache_size=0 which effectively turns it off. (This seems to be the default Centos distribution settings). I would suggest starting off with (in my.cnf), assuming th...
