Re: Recent Messages not showing since 3.0.1.9

Not sure if I made it clear but I am receiving emails ok, it's that they are not appearing in the list. The email header is showing that it is routed through EFA.

Re: Recent Messages not showing since 3.0.1.9

I rebooted the whole system again just to be sure, but it is no different.

Are there any logs worth looking at?

Recent Messages not showing since 3.0.1.9

Since upgrading to 3.0.1.9, I am no longer seeing messages in "Recent Messages" or "Message Listing" report. The last message in the list is " Restart needed to update to 3.0.1.6" Other than that, everything appears to be working ok.

Re: Upgrade 3.0.1.9 - Cannot access web page

Thanks, that pointed me back to the same line in conf.php There was another typo. defile instead of define. A Freudian slip that did exactly what I typed

I just need to get LDAP working again now, but that is something I can play with.

Upgrade 3.0.1.9 - Cannot access web page

After upgrading, when I try to access the mailscanner webpage I get: The following conf.php mandatory entries are missing, check and compare your conf.php with conf.php.example. - LDAP_SSL I then added "defile ('LDAP_SSL' true);" to /var/www/html/mailscanner/conf.php and now get: Forbidden...

Re: email containing lewd graphics

Spam score was fine. The only way I can see to do it is: # Do you want to convert all HTML messages into plain text? # This is very useful for users who are children or are easily offended # by nasty things like pornographic spam. # This can also be the filename of a ruleset, so you can switch this ...

email containing lewd graphics

One of my customer's commented "I received a spam picture email this morning containing a picture of a naked woman, surely these should not be able to get through?"

Is there any way to block such images?

Re: Increase in the level of spam

Thanks Shawn, that was the information I was after. This is often a "feeling" or perception on the part of the user and next to impossible to measure. I just needed to be sure that nothing had changed technically. It is very difficult to judge from looking at some emails by content, if the...

Re: Increase in the level of spam

What do you mean, 0 spamassassin rating? Can you share any of the spam reports? I mean, as an example, that Spamassassin gave a score of zero in all categories, yet the email was still considered as unsolicited as far as the end user was concerned. Prior to this it had obviously not been rejected b...

Re: Increase in the level of spam

Yes I've installed logwatch on a couple of sites and all the mechanisms are functioning. Those coming through have 0 spam assassin rating and in general there is two to three times the amount arriving in inboxes. I have now set "Reject clients with no reverse hostname" in "SMTP Client...

Increase in the level of spam

We are rolling out 3.0.1.1 but have had reports back from a few of our customers that they are seeing more spam delivered as clean email since the update. During the same period, those of our customers on 3.0.0.9 are not seeing this growth. So it is not a matter of there being more in the wild. I wo...

Re: 3.0.1.1 :: Option 11 works, except anything gets enabled and not disabled

The previous fix did not work for me on a subsequent site so I did the following: edit /etc/httpd/conf.d/redirectssl.conf and changed RewriteCond % HTTPS !=on to RewriteCond % HTTPS !=off Then ran the following: service iptables reload service httpd reload All is ok but if Option 11 is used again it...
