Re: Release a blocked file
Hmm - I guess I don't really like the idea that a file is just blocked with no recourse. There are plenty of times when you want to make exceptions regarding file types to allow through. I've worked with many different anti-spam/anti-virus systems that have quarantines, and this is the first system ...

Release a blocked file
I received a PST from a client yesterday (expected), and it was blocked as a "Bad" file. Try as I like I cannot see a way to release this message so that it will deliver to me. Am I just blind?
Thanks.

Re: Why do some messages not get the action links at the bot
Thanks Shawn! Believe it or not, years ago I even did conference presentations on SpamAssassin - heehee - but you get rusty when you don't use things for awhile. It will all come back to me!

Re: Why do some messages not get the action links at the bot
Okay - so I think I'm understanding this a bit better now.
Bayes is set to auto-whitelist apparently (there are pros and cons to this), and it looks to me like no "whitelisted" items get the link to report a messsage as spam. I DID change the entry in Mailscanner.conf to Sign Clean Messages, but ...

I'll see if I still have them - however, I got frustrated and redeployed a new server, and so far it's behaving!

I just got another one with a text message, and it had

Click here to report this message as spam.
But there was no link to click.

By the way - it almost looks like this issue you reported on the MailScanner list

Yes - I'm actually getting a message that just says
This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content by
E.F.A. Project, and is believed to be clean.
But the messages are not clean, and I'd like to add that "click here to mark as spam" message - it's not showing up for some reason ...

Why do some messages not get the action links at the bottom?
Some messages receive links like this at the bottom. I've seen this on both HTML and plain text messages. I cannot figure out what the trigger is to have these placed on the messages.

Re: User alises
Okay - well this is available in many other systems, so it's something to think about for the future. I have actually been testing Xeams and EFA side-by-side. There are some really cool "interface" functions in Xeams, but it was blocking so much real mail as spam out of the box that I've all but ...

User alises
I (and my users) receive mail for a number of alises and domain names. Is there any way to consolidate "users" so only one report is sent for all of these? Even if it means directly editing the database? For example, orders@company.com, sales@company.com, userid@company.com flast@company.com first ...

Daily Reports
Sorry to be such a newbie! I'm testing EFA and run into issues that I can't readily find answers for, either in the EFA or the MailScanner docs.
I can't see an obvious cron job for the daily reports. I assume that it's to run at midnight? I'd actually like to find where this is set and change the ...

Re: Non-standard port for transport
If you have multiple domains, you would need to do it in transports if they all receive mail from different locations though - it's working fine btw!

Re: Confused about daily digest and immediate notifications
I think this is probably in the mailscanner settings - I see
Spam Actions store custom(spam)
High Scoring Spam Actions store
My guess is that means that lower "spam" is being sent this notification, and then high spam is not. I probably need to review the low score and see if I want this to happen ...

Re: Non-standard port for transport
Okay - but this is not so that EFA listens on a different port - this is so EFA delivers to a different port - it looks like this is the transport file:
mydomain.com smtp:[192.168.1.1]:26
for example. Then mail that is destined for mydomain.com would be SENT to 192.168.1.1 on port 26 rather than ...

Confused about daily digest and immediate notifications
I think I've missed something! I have set users to receive daily digests, but I'm also receiving immediate notifications that spam has been blocked. I think my users will hate me for that :-)

Importing Users?
Is there a way to import users? Even if it means accessing the database manually, etc., I'm good with that, but I have a number of users (not in AD BTW - I see how that would be useful) to set up!
Thanks.

Non-standard port for transport
Good morning - I'm testing EFA to see it it meets my organization's needs. I'm well versed in Postfix, so I can ssh in and make these changes manually, but is there a way to add a non-standard port to the transport mail server when creating the transport setting? I tried with just a : and the port ...
