Re: Big bug!!! System runs out of disc space in minutes!!!
I think I found the source, RPC. My other machine received error 500 with RPC from the updated machine. Looks like this overflowed logging in the updated machine like a mad man. After clearing the logs and disabling RPC between the 2 machines all went quiet again. Strangely enough the updated machin...

Big bug!!! System runs out of disc space in minutes!!!
This morning one of my systems got updated. Since then logs are overflowed with errors. So much errors that disc space runs out in minutes! Gigs are added by the second! Error: PHP message: PHP Warning: readdir() expects parameter 1 to be resource, bool given in /var/www/html/mailscanner/postfix.inc...

Re: from name problem
Block info@notebook-xxx.coxm
That's the emailaddress it's originating from.
Looks to me it's an invalid tld and therefor an invalid domain and emailaddress.
With proper postfix configuration it shouldn't have been accepted at all.

Re: DKIM issue
Shouldn't something like that be done by EFA?
I mean, what's the point of being able to add trusted hosts when it's done only half.

Re: How to filter ever changing subdomains
Not only commercial ones.
But those spammers come fully prepared.
Besides having functional SPF and DMARC records and even matching RDNS most domains already exist for quite some time.
So they aren't in the new domain RBL's anymore.

Re: DKIM issue
I'd be curious how this compares to the Authentication-Results header in the same email. I'm betting that opendkim says it is passing There are no Authentication-Results headers because mail comes from a trusted host, as I said in the first post. EFA is used as smarthost when this occurs. All serve...

Re: DKIM issue
It gets weirder and weirder. Found one domain on that servers that seems to always pass DKIM in EFA. And another domain where pass/fail seems completely trivial. Two emails send by the same person within minutes of which one fails dkim and the other passes. Every attempt with every domain on that se...

Re: How to filter ever changing subdomains
I was having the exact same problem with the same domain and also za.com and ru.com. Training bayes is not enough. sa.com stands for Saudi Arabia, za.com for Zuid Afrika/South Africa and ru.com for Russia. Anyone can register subdomains under them through different registrars out there. I ended up b...

DKIM issue
I'm having a DKIM issue I can't get a handle on. I have an EFA server in front of multiple different types of mailservers. Those mailservers use EFA as a smarthost to send out emails too. All are trusted hosts within EFA. One of them is an ISPConfig perfect server based mailserver which includes DKI...

Re: SPF_HELO banner
Now HELO is your domainname and not a fqdn hostname. I would change back smtp_helo_name config in postfix and add a spf record in your dns. I assume your fqdn hostname is an A/AAAA record in your dns? Then just add "v=spf1 a -all" for your hostname in your dns. I've done it like this for a...

Re: SA Bayes not working, TxRep error
Looks like I fixed it myself (and broke it myself in the first place??).
The MySQL sa-user password was wrong in /etc/MailScanner/spamassassin.conf
After changing that the error went away and bayes database started to fill.

IPv6 outgoing relay
When I try to add an ipv6 subnet in the outbound mail relay and save then opendkim crashes on restart. This is what I found in /var/log/messages: opendkim: /etc/opendkim.conf: 1.1.1.1/24 aaaa:bbbb:cccc:dddd::/64: dkimf_db_open(): Unknown database type Multiple ipv4 subnets are no problem. LDAP AD authentication with failover
If you have an active directory domain with multiple domaincontrollers you want eFa to authenticate against all domaincontrollers in case one is down. By default you can't. This how-to describes how to implement the failover option. You can add multiple space separated hosts under 'LDAP_HOST' in con...

Re: Login to mailwatch using imap authentication is unsuccessful
I want to test this feature but an error 500 is my result when I try to login. I think the error has to do with php-imap not being installed but I can't find the package to install. I'm on CentOS Stream 8. dnf install php-imap Last metadata expiration check: 3:14:55 ago on Thu 02 Jun 2022 06:55:57 P...

Re: Recommended partitioning of a vm for EFA 4
I looked at eFa's v3 VM.
My v4 got a 100GB disc.
Partitioning:
1GB /boot (OS default)
200MB /boot/efi (OS default)
8GB Swap (OS default)
16GB / (double of v3)
75GB /var (all that's left)

Setting up EFA4 in a loop
Hi, I've installed a clean CentOS 7.7 and installed EFA4 afterwards. All without any problem or error. Now I'm setting up EFA through the webpage and got stuck. Looks like there is a loop in place. I'm at the point where I need to enter a username for the admin console. When I click NEXT I need to e...
