Re: How to integrate E.F.A with Active Directory
....I think relay_recipients check should process before the greylist, since if server don't have such recipients, we don't need to waste time to record those mail information. I prefer the way it is now. Suppose you are a spammer, if you are graylisted you still don't know if you have addressed a ...

Re: Disable Greylisting
On reflection is it worth enabling this? Should I learn to process e-mail via the greylist? In my opinion it is worth to enable greylisting but it is a bit depending on you organisation. Although the greylist option has a 5 minute delay, the originating server might wait much longer before it does ...

DKIM config
Hi All,
Did anyone already successfully configured DKIM on EFA?
I was wondering if there are any known cavecats.
Thanks,

Re: Message size exceeds size limit 10485760
In my setup in /etc/MailScanner/MailScanner.conf there are several size options, like Maximum Message Size = %rules-dir%/max.message.size.rules or ClamAVmodule Maximum File Size = 10000000 # (10 Mbytes).
Maybe one of those are teasing you?

Re: Baruwa / Celery Broker err, broken..
Be aware that rabbit-mq is heavily dependent on the hostname. So either make sure DNS works flawless or add the hostname to /etc/hosts The latter solved in my case several problems.

Alternatively you could install Webmin (and mailscanner plugin). With Webmin you can configure Mailscanner, postfix, spamassasin, mysql and lots of other stuff through te webinterface.

Re: Monitoring Postfix hold queue
Well, to be honest, I don't understand why Baruwa exists anyway but lets say we have to deal with it for now ;) For remote managing of Postfix and other system components I use webmin. Through webmin the queue's are visible and other settings can be managed. In addition I also use SQLGrey for greyli...

Re: Blacklist ndr
To my knowledge there is no NDR sent. The mail gets blocked by a smtp 554 but the sending mailserver might inform the user the mail hasn't delivered. If you don't want this behavior all mail should be accepted and thrown away later. I prefer a block at the gate and don't waste disk space and cpu pow...

Re: Build E.F.A from scratch.
In addition to my previous post I can add that I have succesfully installed EFA on Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS (64Bit). Problems I had where: - the install script tries to install (mysql)versions that are not in the Ubuntu repo - rabbitmq had to be reconfigured as mentioned in other posts - baruwa user/passw...

Thanks for the info.
I was about to start with Exim as this is supposed to be the preferred MTA for baruwa 2. With your info I might get it to work.

Re: Is there a future of EFA?
Thanks Arno for your reply. I know it's always a struggle with time, knowledge and availability. There are a lot of projects depending on one person and how hard this person works, it's usually never enough unless you take the risk of a heart attack. So you have to stay healthy and need help. I'm gl...

Is there a future of EFA?
At first I was very excited to see a kind of follow-up of ESVA. However I noticed that the past two month there isn't any noticeable development on EFA. Since running and maintaining a project with a single developer is absolutely impossible I 'm afraid EFA will soon follow ESVA. Hopefully I'm wrong...

Re: unable to preview messages
You're right. There are hundreds of these errors. Although everything else seems to work fine I assume there is more broken than the preview only. I will look into this but if you have any suggestions to start with please let me know. Thanks, Ge [2013-01-30 10:41:41,384: ERROR/MainProcess] Consumer:...

unable to preview messages
Almost everything is working fine. Except when trying to view a message like http://efa/messages/preview/07A16B3ACF.AEA52 an error is shown. The message is: Page unavailable Sorry the requested page is unavailable due to a server malfunction. Have I broke something or does anyone know where to look?...

Re: Build E.F.A from scratch.
I recently installed EFA with SQLgrey and webmin on debian 6.0.6 amd64.
Beside two minor problems (no relation to platform) with exec permissions of a script and an apache2 config everything installs and runs fine.
So no problems on 64bit systems

Re: Wishlist
From the wishlist we need at least Outgoing relay with additionally smarthosts configurable per outgoing domain. With these options i'm able to test-drive EFA in our organisation (500 receipients). A really nice to have would be to get rid of Mysql and replace it by a real database. Since Baruwa 2.0...

Thanks for your answer! RTFM, I always tell my users... The coming days/weeks I will do some more testing and k...

Re: Install fails
ok, back again after doing some reading. Still no luck in getting the appliance ready. Just a question. Is there an additional interface for configuring EFA e.g. Webmin? Through the webinterface I'm only able to add a user, nothing more. The domains tab is empty and there is no option to add a domai...
