Re: Cannot upgrade to 4.0.4-39
Problem resolved. My local cache was not refreshing. So here;s the fix. 1. Edit /etc/yum.repos.d/ius.repo by redirecting the url to archive From: [ius] name = IUS for Enterprise Linux 7 - $basearch baseurl = https://repo.ius.io/7/$basearch/ enabled = 1 To: [ius] name = IUS for Enterprise Linux 7 - $...

Cannot upgrade to 4.0.4-39 (Resolved)
When I try to upgrade eFa to 4.04-39 from 4.0.4-26, I get the following [XXXXX@efa ~]# yum update Loaded plugins: fastestmirror Loading mirror speeds from cached hostfile * base: centos.mirror.globo.tech * eFa4: dl7.efa-project.org * epel: mirrors.wcupa.edu * extras: centos.mirror.globo.tech * updat...

2FA/MFA
I believe that the next version of EFA (4.1?) must include multi-factor authentication. The tech for it is freely available in the open source community. I'd be happy to assist.

Re: How to prevent EFA to change the "mail from" address when deliver quarantined messages
Edit /var/www/html/mailscanner/conf.php and look for the below code and make sure that "QUARANTINE_USE_SENDMAIL" is set to true. // Set QUARANTINE_USE_SENDMAIL to true to send released email as original email using sendmail, // false to send it as an attachment to a release message. define...

Re: LDAP Auth and Validation with Active Directory / Exchange for EFA 3.0.2.6
Hi andyhud I'm not sure if that can be done. I have never had a need to do that so I've never researched or tested it. However, there is a way to get around the DNS issue. 1. Set up a random 'A' record hostname in your public DNS records. Something like specialhost.domain.com (substitute domain.com ...

Re: SPAM Problem
Hi Telvenes, Blocking IPs yourself is a losing battle because the pro spammers are always changing their IPs. Even subscribing to to a blocklist service is not usually good enough. You probably have one or two valid reasons for turning off grey listing, but now it is time to ask yourself if it was w...

Re: LDAP Auth and Validation with Active Directory / Exchange for EFA 3.0.2.6
Hi Alex, Provided your AD is responding to LDAP queries, you should be good to go. To test ldap connectivity from the EFA box, you can formulate a simple query using ldapsearch. If it is not installed, you can download the package. The download package is called openldap-clients yum install openldap...

Re: LDAP Auth and Validation with Active Directory / Exchange for EFA 3.0.2.6
Hi Alex, Not all Exchange environments are the same. A lot depends on how your firewall is configured, if the exch server is not the same subnet at the EFA box, whether or not the users log in with their exchange alias or their email address, if the email address and the user principal name are the ...

Re: Blacklist/Whitelist not working
I haven,t forgotten about this. I've just abandoned it because I no longer need my original blacklist entries to be imported and the whitelist is quite short, so I've entered them manually.

LDAP Auth and Validation with Active Directory / Exchange for EFA 3.0.2.6
I've been playing around with this for a few hours now and finally got it working the way I wanted it. In my Exchange environment, most users log in with their primary email address such as user@domain.com It is also possible to log in with a user principal name (user@domain.local) or the older way ...

Re: How to integrate E.F.A 3.0.2.5 with Active Directory (windows 2012 r2)
A quick note for those who have alias addresses in their Exchange server. For LDAP_FILTER, please use... define('LDAP_FILTER', 'proxyAddresses=smtp:%s', 'mail=%s'); or define('LDAP_FILTER', 'proxyAddresses=smtp:%s', 'proxyAddresses=SMTP:%s'); This allows validation lookup of all smtp email addresses...

Thanks. I'll look into that after I set up a copy of the current production VM in a lab environment. This should prove interesting. As for SqlGrey, yep it's definitely running. Re: Blacklist/Whitelist not working
Thanks for the time you've taken to test this out. I did in fact reboot the appliance after I imported the lists. In the white list I imported around 550 entries and in the blacklist I imported approx 4800 entries. After the reboot I let it run for a good 2 hours before checking if the entries were ...

Hah. It seems my suspicions were corrrect.
