Yes, it was indeed weird, we were going through pages if we can get any clue at all, and someone caught the date in greylist page. Glad he did.

We found the issue.
The server recently got shut down due to power outage, which somehow reset the date and clock on the server. NTP was running, but not syncing. Fixing the time and date also fixed the mail issue. Now its showing the new arrivals in recent messages and logs, and Quarantine is ...

Checked with inactive firewall on server, but it didn't solve.
Also, checked using mxtoolbox, and it shows both primary and backup server are ok, and are responding properly. And logs and recent messages are only visible in backup server, external emails are being sent to EFA. Internal emails ...
