Hi,
take a look at Configure -> Global Settings -> MTA
There, you can set the Relay MTA.

Re: efa error 450.4.7.1 client host rejected: cannot find your reverse hostname
Hi, although I would not recommend doing this, because the current setting will prevent a slew of botnetted hosts from delivering spam and malware to your MTA, this can be switched off in postfix. This check takes place right at the start of the smtp conversation, even before the sender is evaluated...

Re: Greylisting - how?
When a message gets greylisted, postfix actually does not accept it, but returns a temporary 4xx error instead. The sending mta will see that and will retry sending that message at a later time. This had been originally implemented in the era where massive amounts of SPAM had been send out by hosts ...

Re: CAN EFA BE USED AS A AIO MAIL SERVER in place of Xeams
Zimbra also has a full stack of SA and Amavis, but I always turned them off, since I had eFa - or some self-configured Linux host in front of it. So, my advice is to turn the Zimbra AS/AV off and let eFa handle it.

Re: Greylisting Mails not be delivered
Mails in the deferrred queue are not there due to greylisting. As I said, postfix doesn't even accept mails it greylists, so they can never be on your eFa. On the other side, mails that are sent from your domain and being greylisted by their recipients mailservers, would be in that queue, because po...

Then let's start first by defining, what it actually is, that you want to achieve. Tell us about your current setup and where you want to go.

Re: Greylisting Mails not be delivered
If a message gets greylisted, it is temporarily refused by eFa. Efa will not accept and store it. The sending party receives a notification that the service is temporarily unavailabe. This will trigger the sender to try again after some time, where the timespan is up to the sender's configuration al...

Re: CAN EFA BE USED AS A AIO MAIL SERVER in place of Xeams
I am sorry to hear that. Just make a mental note, that any decent mail server will rely on a fully configured DNS. If you're trying to set that up on an internal, private network you will additionally have the issue of running a split-dns setup, since your external IP will be different. So, getting ...

Re: Some ideas for new features for V4
Uhh… client side… I could tell you lot's of stories, which suggest that leaving mail encryption with S/MIME and/or PGP to the user is simply too confusing for them to be handled right. There are a couple of really good appliances out there and the afore mentioned ciphermail was indeed on my list of ...

Hi Steve, sorry for being late… I have been very busy and on vacation… I do think that there's a docker version of Zimbra, but I never used it, since I am always installing on my own - just the opposite as you. ;) Let me check, if I can find it. However, a docker version of Zimbra might proove as co...

Re: Some ideas for new features for V4
Encryption gateways are really hard to do right and in a corporate environment you usually need some assuarance if you intent to take such a contruct through a security audit. I love eFa for all it's doing, but when it comes to encryption gateways for S/MIME or PGP, this is nothing I'd want to see i...

Re: CAN EFA BE USED AS A AIO MAIL SERVER in place of Xeams
The way eFa comes out of the box, it has no mail server capabilities - so you would need dovecot, Exim or some other mail server component where eFa can deliver the messages to. eFa itself is, as it's name suggests, an email filer appliance. Btw, I'd also not recommend to load any other software on ...

Re: TLS error
Well… it's always the receiving end, which advertises TLS capabilities or not. If the receiving end doesn't asvertise TLS in it's EHLO response, than postfix happily starts sending in plain text, since there is no other way to connect to the other end. If you, however, instruct postfix to only send ...

Re: TLS error
This seems to be the wrong question. As I said… Postfix does TLS on an opportunistic approach. If both side agree on TLS, than it will be used. If the other end doesn't, than Postfix doesn't care and proceeds anyway. You can use the tls_policy to enforce TLS connections, where necessary. However, yo...

Re: Domain POP
Ehh what? If you run eFa as your MX, than eFa needs to connect to your final mail server, where all your mail accounts are set up on. As I understand eFa is already on your DMZ and you don't allow any external host to connect to your internal mail server. Now, what is the issue to configure your fir...

Re: TLS error
This is more of a Postfix configuration option. Usually, TLS - and STARTTLS for that matter is opportunistic, so postfix does offer TLS, but does not mandate it. You can setup Postfix to require TLS with specific domains and have it reject connections otherwiese. E.g., you could setup a mandantory T...

Re: problem with pop3 and imap
IMAP(S) and POP3(S) - of wich you should only ever use their SSL-variants IMAPS(993) and POPS(995) are client ports and thus need to be forwared to your Exchange Server, not your eFa.

It sure is - this is the way, we are doing it. Just configure your mail gateway correctly to send all messages for it's resp. domains to eFa.

Why doesn't the IP of your Exchange host resolve to your Exchange's DNS name? You should have that anyway on your local network.

Re: ClamAV Vulnerabilities
I actually don't see the need for that. Afair, this change had been introduced when updating to the latest or some other newer versions of eFa.
I did not comment this line, since I also want the next updates to ClamAv to make it onto my eFa automatically.
