Re: NEW SETUP IDEA, NEED TO KNOW IF ITS POSSIBLE
Hi, I used the script to install EFA on a new VM. It was successful, but seems to be a little different when using the virtual appliance image: An ssh login would not run the EFA Configuration program. So I had to add if ! [ -z "$PS1" ]; then sudo /usr/local/sbin/EFA-Configure fi to the .b...

migration of E.F.A to a new hosting
Hi,
Is it possible to migrate EFA, if you cannot import from OVF and you are not able to upload the vmdk file or use the vmware tools?
I have an EFA installation (version 3.0.2.5), I would like to move it to a new isp, whre I will only get an empty CentOS 6 system.
Regards,
hiandras

Re: blacklist based on FROM
To answer my own question... I found the easiest, using a blacklist rure in local.cf: blacklist_from xxxxxxxxxx@xxxxxx.com (So you don not hav to write a complete rule, where you check the header field andgive some score.) You can also set this in webmin, which will add the above line to the end of ...

time sync
Hi, Today, I noticed my virtual machines time was 50 minutes off. (Intresting information: System Time on mailwatch showed the correct time, but in console and webmin the system time was incorrect.) I checked and there was no time server set. I suggest to put a time server on webmin: Just press the ...

Re: address verify expire time modify
Yes, I use address verification. I added "reject_unverified_recipient" to the "smtpd_recipient_restrictions =" string and put "unverified_recipient_reject_code = 550" at the and of mail.cf. I relay the mails to an exchange server and efa still excepts mail for addresses...

blacklist based on FROM
Hi, The blacklisting and email address (or domain) is very useful. It checks the MAIL FROM address during the smtp session. Sometimes it is better to use the FROM address. Ie. recent spam: X-.....-MailScanner-From: 01020?????6c83c-73a1a380-fc39-4133-ba19-a792127d2435-000000@eu-west-1.amazonses.com a...

It does not work for me. :( I put: address_verify_negative_expire_time = 1d address_verify_negative_refresh_time = 2h address_verify_positive_expire_time = 1d address_verify_positive_refresh_time = 4h to the end of /etc/postfix/main.cf then run "service postfix reload" (also tried with res...

address verify expire time modify
Hi, postconf -d shows: address_verify_negative_expire_time = 3d address_verify_positive_expire_time = 31d I think these are some default values and they are way too much. How can I modify them? (I cannot find them in the postfix cf files. Tried to add them, but won't make any difference) Regards, An...

Re: SEO Expiration spam
Hi,
You are right. sa-compile is not required.
I also modified the rule:
header BAD_WORD_SEO Subject =~ /(Expiration SEO)/i
The original one filtered out everything with either expiration or SEO in it.
The new one just filters out if "Expiration SEO" is in the subject.
Regards,
Andras

3.0.2.5 - letsencrypt
Hi,
I previously added a letsencrypt certificate to mailwatch.
Now, I updated to 3.0.2.5. which has this option built in.
I tried to disable and enable the certificate.
It works fine with mailwatch, but not with webmin.
Should the certificate work with webmin, as well?
Regards,
Andras

SEO Expiration spam
Hi, I got a lot of spams for my registered domains, about seo expiration. So, I made a rule in /etc/mail/spamassassin/local.cf: header BAD_WORD_SEO Subject =~ /(SEO|Expiration)/i score BAD_WORD_SEO 4.0 Then you need to run "sa-compile" and "/etc/init.d/mailscanner restart". Now, ...

Re: KAM.cf exception
I got it working.
You just have to put the following (just an example):
# KAM.cf exceptions
score KAM_NW 0.01
at the end of local.cf and wait.
I tried to restart Mailscanner/spamassassin, but it did not help.

Hi, In the /etc/mail/spamassassin/KAM.cf file, there is a rule: #NetWeaver header KAM_NW X-Mailer =~ /SAP NetWeaver/i score KAM_NW 3.0 describe KAM_NW Spam Indicator Since SAP NetWeaver mails are sent from SAP, and we receive this kind of mails, I want to disable this rule. I just figured it out. You need to put this at the end of /etc/mail/spamassassin/local.cf file: ifplugin Mail::SpamAssassin::Plugin::SPF score SPF_FAIL 0 0 0 9.50 score SPF_SOFTFAIL 0 0 0 7.50 score SPF_HELO_FAIL 0 0 0 1.00 score SPF_HELO_SOFTFAIL 0 0 0 0.50 endif # Mail::SpamAssassin::Plugin::SPF (...

Hi, Does SPF check work for you? It does not seems to work for me at all. I tried to add score SPF lines to local.cf also, restarted mailscanner, but when a mail arrives from an IP, which is not in the SPF record of the sender domain and it has SPF_FAIL set (also checked on vmasoft.com) the mail sti...

Hi, Sorry for the obvious question, but is there a limit of number of domains eFa can handle? I am plannig to use it for around 400-500 domains. (I saw in the forum, that there was problems editing the transport settings with more than a 100 domains. https://github.com/E-F-A/v3/issues/222 , which ha...
