Hello, I've got a few week old installation that has been working pretty well, but just this morning, there has been a huge uptick in spam getting through. The difference between is those messages don't list any sort of Bayes decision.
All of the correctly identified spam emails have the Bayes ...

Re: Scan e-mail for spam
Hello, I would just like to add that we seem to have the same issue. We've told the email users that wish to opt out to raise their spam score for the interim. I'm ready to dig in and find the culprit and post it here. Just need a good starting point.
thanks.

thanks.

Resolved: HOLD queue building up, not sure what to look for in logs.
Hi everyone, I wanted to post here what I found if it helps others.
It all came down to disk speed on the system ,which was a KVM virtual. The bayes database portion was taking a good deal of time to process and root cause was the disk speed. I moved the vm instance to a disk with faster performance ...

Re: proxmox (KVM)
Hello, just wanted to offer that the system runs quite well on ProxMox. I converted the vmdk file with the command:
qemu-img convert Email_Filter_Appliance-disk1.vmdk -O qcow2 emailappliance.qcow2
attached the new image to a standard VM config and I was off to the races.

Re: sender addresses containing bounce
Hi thanks for the reply.
Hopefully this simple diagram will help with flow.
MX ----------> EFA appliance --------------> email server--------------> outbound mail
So outbound leaves the email server directly, and the domain MX record points to the EFA server A record.

sender addresses containing bounce
Hello all, I was hoping someone would have some experience on an issue I have with an EFA system running at the latest patch version.
It has to do with how messages show in the quarantine and consequently how whitelisting is affected.

Re: HOLD queue building up, not sure what to look for in logs.
Looks to be resolved now, can't say I know what the root cause is. I think it may have been a corrupt file in the hold queue.

Re: HOLD queue building up, not sure what to look for in logs.
Ok, update, the system is processing mail, just slowly. I moved all emails out of the hold postfix folder and I've been planting them back in groups of 100 messages. The system seems to be processing about 2 email's every few seconds, so the backup seems inevitable under normal volume.

HOLD queue building up, not sure what to look for in logs.
Hello peers, I'm need of some dire assistance. I've got a new install of EFA, was working great. Then I disabled greylisting via the cli menu and mail started to build up in the hold queue. I've tried re-enabling greylisting with no effect.
I've updated to the latest version through the menu and ...
