Hello,
It has been a while since last update to eFa appliance.
Has anyone looked into alternatives and if yes, any good experiences to share?
Thank you.

Re: Spam getting through even if it has been marked as spam
I just reinstalled the appliance (4.0.2) from scratch and it has been working well ever since.
Not like a real solution but saved endless hours of googling around

Re: Spam getting through even if it has been marked as spam
No mention of bayes in the output. In the config files use_bayes is also commented out but it says it's on by default though. ----- [root@mailscanner-in spamassassin]# grep bayes * local.cf:# use_bayes 1 local.cf:# bayes_auto_learn 1 local.cf:# bayes_ignore_header X-Bogosity local.cf:# bayes_ignore_...

Re: Spam getting through even if it has been marked as spam
@tentaclefi What about Shawn's remark about spamd? There is no indication that Bayes is active in your message detail Spam Report Did you modify efa? ( install packages or whatever modification) Yes I realised that it has started because I once restarted spamassassin by hand but rebooted afterwards...

Re: Spam getting through even if it has been marked as spam
Almost all of the spam we get is in Finnish and Alexanderbrix seems to get spam in German in turn.
But still I can't get it why learning same messages over and over won't work.
Interested to find out of course!

Hi,
After learning four similar emails came one more and here's the outcome.
The fifth and most recent one has different recipient but otherwise same email.

Spam getting through even if it has been marked as spam
Hi, Lately we have received more spam than usual. Some repeating spam emails have been marked as spam for 5-10 times but still copies of same email get through. Where should I start to investigate what is causing this? We are using EFA 4.0.2 and my gut feeling is that when I first installed the appl...

Whitelist networks from greylist
Hi,
Is there way to whitelist networks from being greylisted?
I'm looking for a way to let email from certain /24 networks to be accepted without greylisting.
Thanks!

Re: Mark ham as spam
Sure it works but can you do it for older messages too?
I mean other than on recent messages tab which is filled quite fast on busy servers.
or is it possible to list let's say 250 or 500 emails on recent messages tab?

Is it really impossible to mark email as spam afterwards when it leaves recent messages tab and inline signature is not used as it's kind of 90s?

How can I teach Spamassassin that some of the ham is actually spam when there's no link below email from recent messages tab?

Mail not delivered
Hi, On saturday I added few more domains to EFA appliance, configured transport destination and changed MX. I saw that mail started to come in and didn't check the logs. Now it seems that mail did not get delivered at all but I saw all emails from EFA recent messages tab. Logs say that these may be ...

Re: How to configure appliance for outbound only
Ok,
Sounds good.
So I don't have to know the sender domains?
There are lots of clients behind this outbound filtering appliance and they use their own domains to send email.

How to configure appliance for outbound only
Hi, I'd like to use EFA as mail gateway for our virtual machine clients. So it would be outbound only and there are 4 networks from where mail should be accepted for further delivery and nowhere else. So mail would be accepted for delivery only from those 4 networks but for any domain, scanned and p...
