How to prevent email being sent about quarantine release
Setting up new EFA 4 and wanting to eliminate the email going out when the admin releases an email from outgoing spam. This email causes confusion for our users. Looked in mailscanner.conf and don't see anything.
Thanks

Re: Nothing showing up in /var/log/maillog but EFA working
Acting like syslog was not installed. Did a yum install syslog and it said it was installed, but when I tried to start it then it said service was not found. Auto update daily. My FreePBX system sends me an email daily of all the various pieces it updated (or no update) Gives me a sense of comfort getting that daily report like below: This is an automatic notification from your FreePBX (WebGuyz PBX) server. System update check completed. See log below: -...

Re: root password
root password is locked down by design. You can of course sudo in and change that if you desire. Not sure why you have that milter, but edit /etc/postfix/main.cf and remove the milter inet:localhost:8891 and reload postfix. If you are not using DKIM, you don't need it. How can I allow root password...

Recommended partitioning of a vm for EFA 4
Downloaded the EFA4 iso and it installs Centos and wants to know how to partition it. Not a big Linux guy so looking for the best way to do this for a Hyper-v 100gb VM.
Thanks!

Re: How to Install and Configure eFa as a Send-Only SMTP
We use EFA 3.0.25 as a Outgoing Only appliance and it replaced our Mailchannels service we were paying for. We basically define our EFA as being a Smarthost for the 10 different mail servers on our Class C network. We defined our entire class C of IP's as being allowed to send thru the EFA. We forwa...

Re: Why doesn't any of the info show anymore when I click on a "spam" email in the listing
There was an issue of this happening with newer versions of Geoip. Someone on the forum uploaded the last valid Geoip files in the last format that EFA works with before the version 2 change. Do a search on Geoip and your run across it.

Re: Message Details are gone from webpage
Do a search on Geo IP in the list. There is an issue with the 3.x version after the Geo IP information format changed causing the symptom your seeing.
Someone on the list saved the last working set of data files which you can download.

Found it in /etc/Mailscanner/Mailscanner.conf
Do search for phishing and there are 2 or 3 entries that affect this.

Where do I find this option so I can turn it off
A customer I forwarded an email to sent me this and was asking if my system was doing it. Apparently it is and not sure what the option is called or where to find it so I can turn it off. I turned off everything else that changed the outgoing email but I must have missed something. Thx mailscanner.P...

Re: Outgoin Mail - Random IP
Found an excellent article that allows you to do just that. I currently use 10 different IP's on my one EFA server and have no problems with rate limiting at google and yahoo. Follow the instructions in the link below. Works great https://shami.blog/2016/04/randomize-source-ip-addresses-with-postfix...

Re: How can I get EFA to ignore file type checking for outbound emails
After doing some more digging I found the answer out on the Internet: To disable any checking of file attachments except for viruses, make the following changes in /etc/Mailscanner/Mailscanner.conf: 1. Set "Filename Rules =" to blank. 2. Set "Filetype Rules =" to blank. 3. Set &q...

How can I get EFA to ignore file type checking for outbound emails
Getting email that are stopped for type OTHER. Is there a way to have EFA totally bypass the attachment check. Since these are outbound emails they would not be sending viruses but the filenames can sometime be not standard.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Possible to release outgoing spam?
Found the answer. Came across a post with a similar issue and the answer was to delete the Geo* files in the /var/www/html/mailscanner/temp folder.
Did that and now I have a log more info and the option to release.
Thanks for a fantastic product!

How do I include Blacklisted Spam to customers quarantine report?
I did not realize that anything blacklisted does not show up in customers quarantine report. Accused a customer o...
